Free meal program for children ages 1 through 18: closed-enrolled sites
Summer food service program begins June 3 (Closed Thursday, July 4 and Friday, July 5)


The Sioux City Community School District is once again participating in the Summer Food Service Program, beginning June 3 through Aug 2, 2024. 

Meals are available Monday through Friday for all children ages 1-18 years without charge.  Acceptance and participation requirements for the program and all activities are the same for all regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, age, or disability, and there will be no discrimination in the course of the meal service.  Each child present, ages 1 through 18 years of age, will receive a lunch.  

Serving sites and schedule includes:

  • Sanford Center West, 1700 Geneva St., serving lunch 11 am - Noon | Snack from 3:30 pm - 3:45 pm (June 3 - August 2, 2024)

  • Sanford Center East, 6100 Morningside Ave., serving lunch 11 am - Noon | Snack from 3:30 pm - 3:45 pm (June 3 - August 2, 2024)

  • Salvation Army Day Camp, 1415 Villa Ave., serving Monday, Wednesday & Friday from 11 am - Noon | Snack from 3:30 pm - 3:45 pm (June 3 - July 26, 2024 only)

  • Bryant Elementary School, 3040 Jones St., serving breakfast from 7:45 am - 8:45 am | Lunch from 11 am to 1 pm (June 3 - August 2, 2024)

  • Irving Dual Language Elementary School, 901 Floyd Blvd., serving breakfast from 7:45 am - 8:45 am | Lunch from 11 am - 1 pm (June 3 - July 26, 2024)

  • Liberty Elementary School, 1623 Rebecca St., serving lunch from 11 am - 1 pm (June 3 - July 26, 2024)

  • Morningside STEM Elementary School, 3601 Bushnell Ave., serving lunch from 11 am - 1 pm (June 3 - July 26, 2024)

  • Hunt A+ Arts Elementary School, 2002 Nebraska St., serving lunch from 11 am - 1 pm (June 3 - July 25, 2024)

  • Evergreen Village, 5309 Hwy 75 N, serving lunch from 11 am - 1 pm (June 3- July 26, 2024)

  • Leeds Splash Pad, 3810 41st St., serving 10:30 am - 11:15 am (June 3- July 26, 2024) (mobile food bus)

  • Children's Launch Pad Museum, 623 Pearl St., serving 11:30 am - Noon (June 3 - July 26, 2024) (mobile food bus)

  • Riverside Pool, 1301 Riverside Blvd., serving lunch from 12:15 pm - 1 pm (June 3 - July 26, 2024) (mobile food bus)

  • Sunnyside Elementary School, 2700 S. Maple St., serving lunch from 11 am - 1 pm (June 3 - July 26, 2024)
